6310i SMS confirmations. How to enable?

I have several GSM phones from nokia (5190, 6190, 8390) and now a 6310i.
How do I enable the sms delivery confirmations on the Nokia 6310i? Am on
Microcell network in Canada.

To turn on or off SMS delivery confirmations: Menu/Messages/Message
settings/Sending profiles/Delivery reports/ choose yes or no.

In Canada, it seems that Nokia (or Microcell) has forgotten to include that
sub menu 'Delivery report'. There are a few others, but not that one.
That was the purpose of my original post. I was hoping that someone would
know a series of codes I could enter to enable the feature on the 6310i.

If the network doesn't allow it, no amount of code entering will work..!
Have you asked your network if they support it, what do they say..?

You could try inputting 111 before the SMS and you should get a delivery
report.

The network supports it, and the other 3 GSM phones I have use that
feature, but the 6310i sold here in Canada do not seem to have that menu
option I called my provider, but they claim it's not available. I
think that's bull. Maybe there's a firmware upgrade somewhere out there.

I had read (somewhere on the net) that the Orange network in the UK also
originally didn't provide that menu, but one user had posted something
about the provider sending a few system commands to their cell to enable
the menu. I'd sure be interested in knowing what those commands were or if
there was a way I can punch in some Nokia codes or GSM codes to just turn
it on.

It is supported on Orange, I have it on my Orange 6310i and it works fine.
The only problem over my previous 6210 is that the 6310i doesn't support
pending reports, so you only get a report when the message is delivered.

It's not a facility that can be controlled by GSM codes AFAIK.

My 6310i gives me pending reports that will change to either delivered
or failed.

On what network..? I don't get it on Orange nor does anyone else I know
with a 6310i. All I get is the delivered report, no pending one.
