I came across a Nokia 3300 on the Nokia Asia website today. What is this
phone like?? Any good? Does it have the same audio problems (when using the
phone for voice) as the 6610? I had two 6610's, until I found it was a
problem with the model overall. I don't really want to get a new phone and
go through the same thing again...anyone who has one of these able to
confirm or deny? What radio/cellphone reception etc does it get? Is it good?

What 'audio problems' has the 6610 got?

The two I had had distorted audio if it got too loud. A friend did a search
on the web and found a few reviews with the similar thing. Apparently it's
an issue with some 6610's...not all of them.

My 6610 must be in the 'not all of them' category :-)

Can't say the same for mine and three mates' 6610s, gets rather distorted
when loud, especially on speaker... Matter of fact my 5100 has the same
problem, although I'd expect it due to Nokia's attempt at waterproofing the
thing-even the LED's have a physical plastic barrier for water, dust, grit
    etc to get through.
Although, speakerphone hole appears to be plastic-free, thus raising
question to the manual: "Phone can be used in rain"... How, without
suffering damage, if there's a large hole in the top of the phone? Some's
    bound to get in.

forgot to mention too, my dad's 6610 works perfect too, re: distorted
    when loud.
