As a comparative newcomer to swapping SIM cards and unlocking phones,
would like to ask for some advice from those who obviously know more
than I do. I currently own an unlocked 7110 with a Vodaphone pay as you
go SIM. I intend to pass this on to an elderly relative who requires a
standby phone. I am considering buying a 3510i from Comet for £79.90, it
is complete with a Virgin pay as you go SIM and £5 of free calls.
I would like to unlock the 3510i and swap the SIM cards so that
I will be able to use the new phone with my current number and
remaining Vodaphone talk time. I intend to use the Unlockme site for the
software.
Any problems likely with this approach? All helpful comments
appreciated.
Thanks,
CC

Many thanks for those who have helped. I have ordered the 3510i and will
post news of my success (I hope!) when the job is done.
