Thanks to those you replied to my last message but none of those
suggestions worked. I have a nokia 3585i and it is locked to sprint.
I have done alot of
research and I think all I need is the IMEI. All the places I find
say you can push *#639# and it will give it to you, well this doesnt
work with my phone. Also they say that it is listed under the battery
which it isnt on my phone. I really need to know the codes for this
phone or any suggestions on how to get it unlocked. I would
appreciate any help and if there is anything I can do in return for
this information, if it is in my power I will do.
thanks,
Jon

The 3585i (from memory) is a CDMA handset. The unlock calculators are for
GSM handsets, so I'm not sure that it'll work at all. As I'm based in the
UK, I don't know an awful lot about CDMA phones, so you may be better off
asking in one of the dedicated USA cellular forums.

My news provider doesn't carry the US cellular newsfeeds, so I can't really
help on that one, but you could also try one of these two forums -
http://beam.to/gsmforum or http://nokiafree.org/forums

Thanks for the advice, but I've got little enough time as it is without
subscribing to even more cellular groups ;-)
To be perfectly honest, we seldom get any phones sent from the States for
upgrades or whatever, and even when we do, they're inevitably 3650's, so I
can't see much point in boning-up on CDMA models.
Good news server though.
