Can anyone point me to information on having my 6200 firmware (v3.05)
upgraded? I know there is newer firmware and it will probably have an impact
on some problems I've had. Also, I've unlocked the phone. Will the same
unlock code work after I get it back, or will I need a new one?
Thanks,
Bill

I don't know how to upgrade the firmware, but I got a 6200 with the 3.05
firmware with never-ending reception problems, and I got a warranty
exchange with AT&T for a new one that has the 3.10 firmware and the
reception is just as bad. Dropped calls, missed calls, and several
second blank-outs constantly.
It really sucks, because this a perfect phone for me other than that.
And everywhere I look for reviews of this phone people praise the
reception, so I really don't get it. Are some large percentage of these
phones bad or something? Or is it just the GSM signal strength in
Seattle? Or maybe the problem is in the SIM card, and not the phone itself?
After I whined to AT&T about it they gave me a $100 account retention
credit, but I am not sure yet what to do. Maybe buy one more 6200 with
it and see if it is better, and if not, swap it back for something else.
Maybe a Siemens S46, so I can switch between TDMA and GSM.
