nokia 9110 crash : my 9110 PDA screen is utterly blank 1s just after
the boot, the PC software is connected and working but the usual
reboot procedure (shift+tab+f when inserting the battery) ask for a
reformating (on the PDA screen, which is correct) but doesn't work
afterwards (the 9110 crash again while restarting).
anybody has any information about how to correctly reboot that old
GEOS piece of software ?

Re: nokia 9110 crash
Your main processor seems to be broken. I was a service specialist for Nokia
Communicators series for several years and my oppinion is the following:
some of the soldering balls between processor (AMD 486/33) and PDA PCB are
broken. This could be a total damage of this board...! Normally no
service-center is able to rework the SPOCK (=9110) PCB. In the case of a
(more simple) drop out error of Flash RAM you should give it to a service
center for reflashing GEOS Firmware. Good luck.

The answer from the other poster ("processor broken") ssems to be a
bit drastic.
It may be a silly question, but did you remove the MMC memory card? It
may have a corrupt file structure.
Another common reason for a crash is that the GEOS.INI is broken. Try
to put a backup copy into the NOKIA folder of the MMC card using a pc
card reader.
