Does anyone know what IrDA protocol level the Nokia 6310icommunicates at?
Is it simply the IrCOMM 9-wire? Or does it need some sort of modem driver
    communication?
I am having some trouble sending AT commands to the mobile, using my
    Infrared device?

I've found the IRda works just fine when using the 8290 phone as a modem for
my Palm devide. Do a google for your phone and mobile (laptop?) and IRda to
see if anyone else has those problems. It should work fine, but I don't
have direct experience with the 6310. Good luck!

    Re: Infrared 6310i

Thanks. But I called the company that makes my infrared device (it's got a
fully functionaly IrDA stack in the device itself), and it appears the
device I was using is defective. Mobile phones communicate at the IrCOMM
level with other IrDA devices. Thanks again.
