I have just been looking through the online tariffs on O2.co.uk and they
seem really cheap. Is there a catch?
http://shop.o2.co.uk/choosetariffs
Online Off-Peak 500:
500 minutes free off peak calls P/M
500 free SMS
£25 P/M
Online 200:
200 minutes free anytime calls P/M
500 free SMS
£30 P/M
Also, O2 seem to have an international package which seems pretty good if
you are making calls abroad.
Is this a good deal?

On the other hand, they used to permit international texts as part of your
free text allowance. As of 1 October however, they now charge a whopping 85p
+ vat per international text. Does anyone know of a more reasonable service
for texts abroad?

Re: O2 Taffifs Seem Too Cheap?
I agree with you 'Duck'. It is annoying that all mobile networks have
doubled the price for texting to non UK phones, and excluding them from free
SMS allowances! Talk about price fixing!
I was told that SMS abroad on O2 was 16p. Vodafone was 24p.
On O2 PAYG, for a one off payment of £4.99 you can text to non UK phones for
10p, and calls from 10p per min. I am not sure about contract phones, it is
something I will look into. (unless someone wants to enlighten me).
I personally think O2 seem to be offering about the best services at the
moment, but I am open for discussion as to what other people think.
