Hi, I just purchased a Nokia 8250. This is the first time ive owned a Nokia
before (used seimens). Just a few questions:
1. is there some kind of self test that can be performed on the phone?
2. noticed the back cover moves a bit. Is this normal? Always feel the back
cover will fall off.
3. can you get original replacement keypads and back covers for this phone?
I know of the elcheapo ones on the market. All i know is that Nokia sell the
xpress-on face covers, not the keypad or back covers.
Thanks!
cheers,
James

you can launch Netmonitor if you have an IR or datacable link, it is not a
selftest but about the closest you're gonna get.

Secure, won't fall off unless you play with the release button.

Not anymore. Nokia [my local at least] don't stock covers, buttons etc; just
the internal parts. Although it is located near a particularly large
shopping centre with many phone shops in and surrounding it.

Re: nokia 8250 questions
Thanks so much for the reply!
I actually live in Australia. The shops around here have been selling the
8250 cheap to get rid of all their stock. I bought an xpress-on face plate
from a corner store here. Maybe i shoud get a few more before there is
nothing left.
Do you know if Nokia originally released original keypads/back covers for
this phone?
Cheers,
James.

How cheap exactly?
Just thinking it's always been a great little phone if what you want
is a small phone and not a games console, wap browser, camera etc..
It's proven to be a popular buy in Europe because of its rarity value
(it was never released here). Might be worth you getting a bulk
discount on a few of them and putting them through eBay?

Re: nokia 8250 questions
Well they are selling for around $249 AU in the shops here. Hardly any left
actually.
Heres one on ebay for the same price.

They are becoming rare around here. I love my 8250 with its blue screen. I
should look into getting a few more and selling them on ebay like you said.
