I have recently been sent a Nokia 6100 on Orange Care and am having trouble
changing the Call Barring and Security Codes. I tried entering the defaults
of 1111 and 12345 but these did not work. I was able to change the PIN1 &
    PIN2 from the default 1111.

On calling OCS, I was given the Nokia manufacturers helpline to see if they
could assist. Is there any other way to change them?

Default codes for PIN1 and PIN2 are new to me. I only know that PINs and
PUKs usually arrive in separately sealed envelopes, at least this is how
German network operators handle that issue. The same applies to call
barring. Again, in Germany there are no default barring codes but only codes
which arrive in sealed envelopes. So, before you try to change the barring
code, contact Orange to ensure that call barring is enabled for your
contract. Only if you have call barring enabled, you'll be able to change
the code. Hint: Having call barring activated might involve a one-off and/or
    monthly fee.

Default security code 12345 should be correct for brand new Nokia phones but
perhaps Orange has already changed the code. Or you have received a handset
which was faulty and therefore swapped by Nokia. After fixing it, they might
have forgotten to reset the code when they shipped it to Orange marked as a
    brand new phone. ;-)

With the latest Nokia DCT-4 phones, there's no way to read out the security
code with a third-party software such as Logo Manager.
Contacting Nokia might be a good idea if they sent out a phone which was
repaired and then shipped to Orange as a brand new one, perhaps equipped
with a new battery. Otherwise ask Orange if they have changed the code.

    HTH.

    Kind regards,
