****. mine died today after 1 day. Build quality and quality of plastics
used (especially on chassis) is poor. Buy a 3650 instead

nokia is famous for that. most phone have issues on their first run. id
return it to the point of sale for an exchange. if its with att you can
do an exchange in the first 30 days. or its covered for 1 year on a
    manufacturers warrenty.

I like my N-Gage. As for games, well, so far I am new to that aspect of
phone use, so I have only loaded Space Impact and played it so far. The
graphics seem to be pretty dang good. I haven't noticed too much of a
slowdown yet either, but then, I don't have but one real add-on app so far.
I loaded miniGPS, which isn't what I thought it is, but is ok. I
particularly like the trimode GSM (awesome signal most of the time) and the
FM radio (again, awesome signal). The loudspeaker does a pretty decent job
considering it's obviously small size. I have not had a chance to play MP3's
as of yet. I won't until I get what is evidently a proprietary Nokia MMC
card. I have had problems with getting PC Suite to see the phone, so data
transfer so far is out of this review. What I don't like is the fact that
they didn't design a utilitarian type case for those of us who don't feel
the need to look "cool". I want one that hooks to a swivel clip and protects
    the face.

All in all, I love it. I probably wouldn't be willing to chunk down $299 for
it tho. Getting it for free helped alot.

From what I've read/heard it is supposed to be superior to the GBA SP in
terms of gaming capability. It has a faster processor, better graphics etc,
so the games should be better. However, one very important thing is that its
double the price of a GBA SP, and you won't get any Nintendo titles on it,
which are arguably the best games produced,

very good screen (it uses 12bit TFT)
    3d does as promised
    loud ringtone and speakerphone
a lot of bugfix over 3650

but there's one major issue is...no stereo for games and realplayer
stereo applies ONLY for FM, internal mp3 player and sound recorder

    Re: n-gage... opinions?

    Hi

My son has an n-gage. Its a typical Nokia

My 9210 requires serious work to make it (admittedly) seriously useful. But
its not for plug-n-go types. I suspect N-gage is slightly better than that
but slightly. For example you HAVE to use bluetooth to synchronise (not
that I can get pc-synch software to recognise the otherwise functioning
bluetooth link) but you HAVE to use USB to move MP3 files. I mean...why?

Either would have done, or both- but not one of each thats silly...

Mind you -bluetooth a MIDi file to it- and it plays!!! Excellent!

    Its a fine phone tho.

It did crash once- worked fine except no complex audio- beeps worked, rings
and radio didnt... reboot fixed it. As I say..its a Nokia

    Carl
Im putting an email list together for n-gagers (uk mainly but whoever) if
anytone is interested - i fine usenet (is it still called that) hard to keep
up with. Just has a few wallpapers on the web bit of the email list for the
    moment
