I've had the 7250i for about 3 months now, and a handful of times, both on the
screensaver, and when being used, a small 'phone' symbol has appeared on the
display, much like you'd see the 'G' symbol appear for GPRS, or the 'key' symbol
    for a locked handset.

I cannot for the life of me work out what this symbol means - the manual
contains nothing about it, and there doesnt seem to be any purpose. I have no
messages - text, MMS or voice, and when I turn the phone off and on - it
    disappears...

Anyone come accross this before? Bug in the software maybe?

    Cheers,

    CandT

i think its because you have got some numbers in call register >
missed calls. This happened a few times when I had a 7250i briefly.

It's not that Line 2 symbol is it? I remember on the 6310i and my 7110 that
if I ever put an Orange Sim in my phone a symbol that looks like "¬" would
appear in the top left and wouldn't go away on my 7110 until it was
reflashed, but went away on my 6310i after turning it off and on again.

Nope - its not a symbol in the manual, and I had no missed calls, or anything on
the phone that I could act on, messages, etc - as the phone was switched on and
I was using it at the time... odd one - but I think a bug in the software....

    Thanks anyway

It is the code for missed calls. Sometimes it shows on my phone for a
missed call that I may have known about and just clicked exit without
actually going into the missed calls menu. Once you do that it disappears
until you receive another missed call. So if it were a missed call ie 10
days ago the phone symbol will still show until you actually access it.
    Hope this helps.
