    Hi,

I'm having EXACTLY the same type of problems you report - I'm doing my
head in with this 7250i - I've actually been having so many problems
with Orange regarding this handest - I'm on my 3rd handset now, and
Orange have now reluctantly agreed to sending me a new SIM card to try
out (they tried to charge me 17 pounds for this also!?). I've barely
had the 7250i for a month, and all I've had is dropped telephone calls
and "Please insert SIM" or "SIM Card Rejected".

I've all about had enough of this - I'm off to Australia soon and need
a phone that a) works, and is b) reliable. If the SIM doesn't solve
it, I will cancel my contract asap, unless they replace the 7250i with
a fully operational Sony Ericsson T610 (which was the other telephone
I was looking at getting on contract). I would be more than happy to
stay with Orange (I've been with them on PAYG for many years), but if
they can't sort out these types of trivial problems ie. dropped mobile
calls (in very good service area) and weird error messages coming up
on the phone all the time, then the phone is of no use to me and the
contract is a waste of 30 quid a month.

Have you got any further with regards to your problems?

Steve Terry - could you provide any advice or guidance for me on this
one - are faulty SIMs common and causing these sort of problems?

    Cheers,

    Rob

I had FOUR handsets from Phones4U - currently (fingers crossed) it's all
    good.

I suspect there's also a batch of dodgy phones - just bad luck I suppose
