Please help! I won (if it is an appropriate word) on eBay Germany a
used Nokia 3310 described as unlocked. When got it and installed
Israeli Orange SIM, the message "SIM card not accepted" has appeared.
I have found that unlocking services exist on the net, but I have to
send "IMEI number, phone type and network locked to...".
I don't know any of them and moreover I can't be sure that the phone
is not stolen or lost, and in this case it is obviously calls for
other kind of treatment.
Thanks for help!

Well the phones IMEI is on the back of the phone, the phone type is 3310 as
you have said and you could ask the seller what network it was on. The phone
is locked, though may sstill be reported lost or stolen. Can you get a data
cable? If so then use eeprom tools to unlock.

You will find that a 3310 can NOT be remotely unlocked unlike the 3510 and
newer.
