Been having a play about with the Nfader program. Got it from here,
    http://www.unlockme.co.uk/unlockme.html

Backed up the 3410. Rolis 4.79 reported bad checksums, always does.
Ran the Nfader program, I used this option in Nfader --
Update CS - if checked, SW will update MCU checksum & FlashCheck
Saved the file, and tried to get 4.79 to write the file.
It couldn't erase the flash on the phone. So I tried 4.78 set to 3330. Fine.
    Flashed.
No signal. Phone keeps resetting every time i press a key. But the lights
    fade as expected.
Tried the other option in Nfader --
Kill CS/FAID - if checked, SW will kill MCU checksum & FlashCheck (use this
if update CS doesn't work, i.e. no network coverage & phone resets).
Used Eeprom tools to update Faid. Still the same, no signal, resetting. With
    fading lights.
Re-flashed my original file using 4.78 set to 3330. Eeprom tools. Update
    Faid.

Phone back to normal. No fading lights.

Is the 3410 a bit of a no goer when it comes to flashing etc.
I know there are differences in the Mcu Ppm addresses in v4.09 v4.26 surely
this doesn't make the model so unstable.
I fancied 'sexing it up' and putting it on Ebay. Doubt it now though.
I've got an 8210 that can take any flashing crap I can throw at it using
PpmEdit. Animations, menus, different fonts etc
The 3410 is a nice phone to use, but a **** to customize.

    Any comments ?

You did Update CS.. but did you update FAID?
Your problem sounds like a FAID or IMEI problem (no signal, reboot after
    a while)

3410 should be fine for flashing
