I have a 6310i running 5.10, and the warranty has already expired. What are
my options if I want to have the firmware updated in the U.S.A.? Does
anyone know how much the Nokia center in Florida would charge me for this?
Does anyone know if I can have it done somewhere else? I'm in Maryland.

    Thanks!

When I needed my 3360's firmware upgraded, I couldn't find any
place but the main service center in Melbourne, FL, to do it. Under
warranty it cost me only shipping to FL. As I recall, if it had been
out of warranty they said they would want $35 plus return shipping.
Back up first; all phone book entries were lost in the flash upgrade.

I paid $15 for that and it took 15 minutes to reflash my 6310i
with v5.50 firmware. The service center I found was listed on
    Nokia's web-site at: http://www.nokiausa.com/support/repair

Try "Step 2, Option B" and search for the location nearest to
you. I found a Level 3 center one block away from work, which
    was really convenient.

    Good luck!

Re: Firmware update after warranty period

Just did this earlier today. I only have level 2 centers within 50 miles.
I called several, and none of them could flash firmware either at all or for
the 6310i in particular. One of the people I spoke to told me that he'd
been supposed to get the firmware from Nokia month ago, but still hadn't got
it. I think I'll have to ship the phone to Florida...
