What's the processor used by the 6600?

I suspect it's an ARM as all Series 60 phones, but what are the exact
specifications?
I tried to Google, but I didn't have luck. Anyone can find more please
append here...

Constantine.

eggster2k, there's no such processor is ARM's site. Of course there are
ARM-9 and ARM-9E families, but they are faster than 104MHz so I guess it's
not that one.

Of course I may be wrong.

I got the info from here:

http://my-symbian.com/7650/techdata_6600.php

Under technical data it states,

32-bit RISC CPU based on ARM-9 series, 104 MHz

Re: What's the processor used by the 6600?

It's an ARM9-family CPU, AFAIK it's fabricated by Texas Instruments and
includes a bunch of other stuff on-chip, targetted at mobile devices.

That's probably why ARM don't list the exact CPU used in the 6600 - ARM are
a technology company, not a chipmaker... they license their designs to
others, who make CPUs.

And Nokia could have made the choice of a frequency reduction to get reduced
power amount.
The faster a chip runs, the more it "eats".
