    1. Your caps-lock key appears to be broken - you might want to fix that
    first.
    2. IMEI changing is illegal in the UK, for whatever reason and carries
penalties of up to five years in prison plus a potentially unlimited fine.

You should have told us this, instead of just asking about changing

Nice to see that the level of stupidity is increasing, and maturity
decreaqsing yet again. Do grow up, and try not to get too upset when you've
tried to incite others to provide you with means to perform an illegal act.
    1. You asked directly about changing the IMEI - and were told that this is
    illegal carrying very stiff penalties.
    2. If you asked the SP to bar your handset, and didn't make an insurance
claim against it, then re-contact the SP and get them to unbar it - simple!
    3. Do try to moderate your language - it is not appropriate for this or any
    other public forum.
    4. Please don't top post, it's a sure sign of bad manners.

Re: NOKIA 3310 USB DATACABLE IMEI

Sorry about topping the post. I asked for information nobody gave me it
simple. Why not leave it there instead of name calling. If your not going to
answer me then don't post. How hard is that? They won't unblock my phone so
I have thrown it out. Next time ladies don't reply if your not going to give
the information asked for. Thankyou and good day.

    >Even if it's not illegal (I don't know for France, but it could be not
    >illegal in some countries), it appears as discussable to me : what's the
    >point of changing a serial number (or an ID number, here) if everything's OK

This has been discussed here several times before. There are perfectly
good reasons for wanting to change the IMEI of a phone. For example,
the networks in some countries check the IMEI to see if it belongs to
a phone sold to you by them. If not, it doesn't allow you access to
the network even though you may be using a valid SIM issued by that
network. This is to try to force customers to buy phones from them at
    higher than normal market prices.

In that case, changing the IMEI is a way of getting around their
greediness and is not actually doing anything illegal.
