If I change the background on the Nokia 6600 (eg. using a saved image), how
can I set it back to the colourful default one that the unit comes with?.

PS. I previously posted this question but inadvertently left off the model
    number?. Doh

the background picture will be in a folder on the phone where you keep
your pictures/images as long as you don't delete it. Or a radical way
    is do a factory reset

Go to the theme that you have loaded and edit it. It would have changed to
the new wallpaper you have displayed. Change this back to "default".

When you get back to the old profile (or whatever it is called), it
should reset the background image too.
