New Promo 1000 anytime/unlimited N&W for $45

I don't know if this is area-specific, but chances are it's not. I heard an
advertisement on the radio today that offered 1000 anytime minutes and
unlimited N&W for $45 per month with a one-year agreement.

This was in South Dakota. The ad specifically mentioned Brookings and Sioux
Falls SPCS stores, but there's a chance anyone calling CS might be able to
get the same deal. SPCS stores here in SD are operated by the affiliate,
Swiftel, but none of the CS or billing related stuff is. They're just sales
offices.

Anyway, that's that.

Yep, we got it here, it's Local and includes Sprint on-network within
Colorado and Utah.

That is a local plan that SprintPCS has had for 3 months now. You go to Chicago
and every minute is roaming.

Oh, and as always, if Sprint lies to you or misleads you in any way...
be sure to call and whine to the Executive Service folks. It always
works for me.

The ad did mention a nationwide calling area, or at least alluded to one.
However, the phrasing was quite vague by intention I suppose.

The nationwide is long distance from the local calling area.

Have it here in the NY/Metro, includes ME, VT, NH, CT, MA, NY, NJ, and
RI. Free LD from any of these states to anywhere in the country
Once you cross into Pennsylvania or Delaware, you are roaming. It's
a great plan and for $45 it includes unlimited nights and weekends as
well, at least in this area.

My question is, if you add unlimited pcs to pcs to this plan, and you
are out of one of the aforementioned states and in Florida (on the
Florida SPCS network), if you call another Sprint PCS phone or receive
an incoming from another Sprint PCS phone, will you be charged
roaming?

Also, what about Vision use out of your home state area, do they
charge for this as well?

1 cent per K. for roaming Vision.
40 cents per minute roaming out of home area, even PCS to PCS, and on both
phones.

$.50 per minute if you take/make calls out of local area (iowa & nebraska
here).
This plan has been in place since market test earlier this year in march. It
was to thwart carriers like AT&T, Qwest, US Celluar, and others who had a
similar plan. Recently, added unltd n/w and added $5 to cost. In your area,
is pcs to pcs on 1 yr term, or only on 2 year, and do you have to have
multi-lines on acct to qualify? jus' curious.....
