Standard marketing science says its always easier to lower the price
later. You want to maximize income from folks that "Gotta have it at any
price" first. Just wait, prices will come down as sales slow.

No kidding. I got beat up on my Treo 300 back in September 2002. If this
is anything like that was, there should be a promo in about a week.

New "toys" always command a premium at first from "Early Adopters".
3 years ago a Chrysler PT Cruiser was $2000 over sticker. Now they're
$3000 under sticker.

I'm not sure about that... From what I hear Vision cost $15 a month, I got
it when it first came out at $10 a month

Vision is not a product, hotly in demand at first. Vision is a service
that when it came out nobody wanted because npobopdy knew what it was/is.
Simple marketing science says yopu discount/give free such services to
get it up to a critical mass.
