I read some time ago that Vision customers can't get Hotmail on their
Wireless Web. Is that still true? Also, has Sprint finally gotten true SMS
that can send messages to any SMS user in the world?
Thanks,
Anne

Re: Hotmail and Vision
I access Hotmail all the time from my phone... (I have for several months
now.)
As for SMS I have heard that is coming soon, but I really haven't seen it
yet. I also heard that only the very newest phone support it and that there
will likely NOT be an update for the existing phones.

Anne,
Yes that is still true with some phones. Hotmail and Messenger have
never worked on my A500. Sprint removed the MSN link from their home
portal page for that very reason.

Funny... They must detect which phone you are using because I have the MSN
link on the Portal section of my Vision Page.
I have also used mobile.msn.com directly.

Yes they do detect which phone you have and either remove or leave the
MSN portal depending on which phone it can work with. I found this out
2 days ago.

Is there any way of finding out in advance which phones don't work with
Hotmail under Vision, or is it a trial-and-error thing?

We're supposed to be able to access Hotmail, but are having=20
issues with it. Several phones have had it pulled from=20
their Vision web menu until we get MSN to fix it.
And international SMS is nowhere that I can find in our=20
future. Even the new MO-SMS system will only be 10-digit. =20
At least, so far as I can determine up to now.

I work for SprintPCS
I *don't* speak for them.

Seems to be more of a Samsung issue than anything else.

I'm glad to see that Sprint is finally admitting there's a problem
with MSN on some of their phones. MSN has repeatedly denied
responsibily for these problems.
