I actually agree, Steve. What I'm not so sure about,=20
though, is if anyone is to blame for it. This *is* the=20
live test period. There was no other option. And we've=20
found out issues we didn't anticipate. All carriers have.

It turns out that the sales drone at the local Sprint PCS store didn't
fill out the information correctly on the port request. So I'm trying to
get them to discover a way to resubmit it. Strange as it may seem,
Cingular is being more helpful than Sprint. Go figure.

Still not ported, though. Three weeks now. :-(

They should be able to resubmit it as required, and if they don't
    call Scott @ 913-762-7449

Steve, using your cell phone, call *2. It should direct you right to=20
our porting resource center, and they should be able to go over that,=20
including resubmitting the request with the correct information.

Apparently the Sprint WLNP CSRs have the same 6 minute Handle Time
restraints. I watched someone get tranferred, disconnected and hung-up
on Tuesday like clockwork at 6 minute intervals.

Remember Year 2000 computer programming nightmare? The driving force
behind the reason why the corporations in America worked so hard to
find all the bugs and earnestly tried to fix the problem was that the
CEO/CFO/CIO etc could be personally liable for non-conforming of Year
2000 efforts. So if all the CEO/CFO/CIO etc of the wireless companies
could be charged personally for non-conforming of LNP rules, I believe
this porting businees to the consumers would have been as effortless
as slicing the butter with hot knief.

    > This *is* the live test period. There was no other option. And we've
    > found out issues we didn't anticipate. All carriers have.

How much is the sur-charge wireless compnies charges to consumers, and
for how many months before the rules goes effective? How many
consumers are there? How much money the wireless copanies has
been/are/will be collecting? It's in houndreds of millions
collectively. With that kind of start-up money, the "live" testing
yet went so bad. Whom to blam? No one?

Total nonsense. What I would expect from a loyal Sprint employee with
rose colored glasses. Truth is SprintPCS was pushing out press releases
all last month bragging on how they tested out portability and had no
    problems.

And earlier This same Sprint employee was saying SprintPCS had so few
    problems.

Phillipe, what business do you have *****ing about Sprint's LNP problems
when your new wireless carrier - AT&T - has the WORST track record LNP
    problems?

There was, indeed, no testing. Certainly if code was written so
poorly that it couldn't be backed out.

I've seen some *major* screw ups during my IT career, but NOTHING on
this grand of a scale that Sprint displays. They disbanded their war
room only three days after the initial port date. At least... that's
what one of the techs relayed

I guess on top of it all, Phill is now either a peeping Tom or a
clairvoyent. Too much brainpower required for the latter, so I vote for
    peeping Tom.

And some of the others disbanded after two days- what's your point? The war
rooms were set up to handle a flood of activity that never occurred. And I
didn't get that information second hand, Phil- this is DIRECT KNOWLEDGE.

And as far as your illustrious IT career is concerned, your complete lack of
knowledge (as witnessed by your own posts) makes that statement another that
    merits no respect from anyone.
