This may be "preaching to the converted" and if you already know this
great! I'm posting this because I've had a hard time finding any info
on how to replace the case on a good donor phone (Sanyo 4700) with
broken battery latch tabs with that of a 4700 with a good case but bad
    charging circuitry.

    This 4700 uses a "tri-wing" screwdriver *not* a torx!

There are many websites that pop up in google when you do a search for
"Sanyo screwdriver" and the majority direct you to sites selling a
    small #6 torx screwdriver.

Only one site that I found had any reference to the proper special
screwdriver, and it turns out that this tool is also used to take
apart Game Boy Advance toys. I didn't know that, I don't have any
    experience with GBA toys.

So a google search for "GBA Tri Wing Screwdriver" and you'll likely
find the screwdriver needed to repair your Sanyo with the 3 point
    phillips screws.

I got mine at www.jandaman.com . I am in no way affiliated with the
    vendor, just passing along info.

Just trying to keep a great phone alive for a while longer. No other
phones seem to get and keep a signal better than my SCP-4700.

    regards,

    Mike

I also found the exact same site a while back for my Sanyo 4900 phone. I
used it to take apart my phone and replace the keypad LED's with blue ones.
    Look very cool now.
