The head of Executive Services at SprintPCS can't get email this
weekend. Her mailbox is too full.
Recipient address: AMCGEE@ims-ms-daemon
Original address: [email protected]
Reason: Over quota
Everyplace I worked, the big cheeses got exemptions to mail box quotas
and far larger limits as needed. Apparently they got an anal-rentitive
IT department at SprintPCS HQ.

There are always multiple sides to a picture....
Have you considered:
-- Someone may have 'mail-bombed' her?
-- More than one person sent LARGE attachments...
-- She could be out on an extended out-of-office???
Based on the facts you have...I don't see how you jump to the conclusion you
made!

Large Corps should be filtering their mail.

Biggies get humongous large quotas or no quotas.

They have out of office responses sent.

Because I am Exchange Administrator, and know that your guesses don't
happen or are taken care of for biggies.
Always someone to apologize for SprintPCS.

I didn't realize the Shift Captain at McDonalds got that much email.

Or they have Executives watching the company closely and receiving numerous
reports as very large attachments. Not everybody gets their information
from Sesame Street like you do.

Poor try at apologizing for SprintPCS. A honeypot tries to trick you
into thinking its a working email, and wouldn't send back a Mailbox Full
Error messgae. It automatically deletes anything it receives.

Think of it this way. Create an email account that you never check
anyway, let it fill up and that's what you have.

That can be done, but thats not what a honey pot is supposed to do.
It stops working as an email honey pot if it sends back "mailbox full"
error messages. Normally a Honey Pot refers to an unpatched Server,
that is not connected to the rest of your Network, which is there only
to keep hackers busy and identified. An email account allowed to
overfill is unrelated to that.

Re: Internal Email at SprintPCS wanting
They might have done it this way on purpose to make you think it really is a
valid email address.

It might be raining purple pink polka dotted monkeys tomorrow.
GET REAL. It is a valid email address, as that's their syntax. jdoe for
john doe.
The head of SprintPCS's Executive Services has an over full mailbox,
which is a no-no.

After reading this whole thread, I'm LOL @ Phillipe once more. The above is
the not the corporate email address for anyone at SPCS. The corporate email
for SPCS personnel ends with @sprintspectrum.com or @mail.sprint.com or
@mail.sprintpcs.com.
As for the sprintpcs.com email address there, that's limited to 5 MB storage
....

And then there's also the fact that a) you have her name wrong and b) you
have the domain wrong.

He also has the Exe Svcs person's name wrong. Similar, but very wrong. What
a maroon.
I feel sorry for whoever Ann McGee is, and for her poor exploding Sprint PCS
webmail.
