Thank you for the detailed description on how to set this up. I used to use
the connection manager. If doing it the way you described what software do
I use so that my PC actually recognizes my phone. I have a Sanyo 4900 as
well.
Thanks again,
Rick

Found the drivers and works great. Thanks.
I do not plan on using this as my only internet connection, but what exactly
is Sprint's policy on using your phone and vision service as a modem? I
read before about people's vision service being turned off because of this?
How much data is too much in a month?

How much data is too much in a month>
Rick,
We use this setup when RVing. At this point we have never been contacted by
Sprint saying we used too much data. And some fellow RVers say the same
thing. We do emailing and surfing but do not download music or program
updates etc. However, Sprint does not want you to use your phone as a
modem - they want you to use their data plan. When we signed up with Sprint
using a cable was still ok - and when I made subsequent calls to customer
service reps I was told it was ok if you did not abuse it. Since we only
need it when we travel I don't want to sign up for the data plan. At home I
do not use Vision at all. If you want an idea of how much data I have
used email me. DonnaB

Interesting, but I haven't heard or read about someone losing Vision on
their account yet. As to how much data is too much, SPCS hasn't said, as
they don't supported tethered phones. Best guess here from some folks
posting is that casual use is ok, but you will get spanked if you try to
replace your current ISP service with Vision or do a large download in one
session.
Quite a few of us use it while on the road, and I just use it to download
email and some casual surfing, for no more than a half an hour ...
