I have snapmedia, but I don't have a cd key. My phone is a samsung a600 aka
vga 1000 and I want to use snapmedia to manage my content: Phonebook,
ringers, etc. I plugged the cord in and ran the program. It said it couldn't
find it and asked me to pick a com port. I had no idea which com port, but
on the 2nd run it came back and asked me to pick a style of phone, which I
couldn't find the samsung. Eventually the program linked me to a sight
where I need a cd key to download the "drivers" so that snapmedia will work
with my phone.
Does anyone have these drivers?
Does anyone have an active serial number so that I can get them. I see no
point in dishing out money when all I need is a small little driver.
Thanx,
Tony

You are barking up the wrong tree dude, asking in here. I don't think anyone
will give you that, especially since Sprint employees monitor this group.

Re: Snapmedia cd serial key!
No, I don't think that the fact "Sprint employees monitor this group" is
any reason to stop from giving it out... Sprint PCS has no apparent
relationship to FutureDial, who manufactures SnapMedia.
However...
There are those of us who work for retailers who sell FutureDial's
products, not to mention all of us who pride ourselves on owning legal
copies of the software we use, and don't take these requests lightly.
Besides, if someone's going to try to use SnapMedia to manage their
phonebook, heh, good luck. Try SnapSync. It's $39.99 at RadioShack. Cable
included. Also available at Best Buy and probably a few other retailers.

Re: Snapmedia cd serial key!
I also like staying legit with my software and do not "give out" hacks and
serials etc.. but I also do not have much remorse for futuredial since they
ABANDONED me and my sanyo 6400 (sorry we no longer support that model etc..)
THANKFULLY I got it working again and now I keep detailed notes and backups
since I know support will not support me anymore even though I spent well in
excess of $100 (ALL of their software and 2 cables)
Grrrrr

If you have a purchased copy and are the registered owner, then call
them on the telephone and they'll be happy to provide you the CD Key.
If you have a copy from kazaa, hopefully no one here will provide
a CD Key for a pirated copy.

Re: Snapmedia cd serial key!
I own Snapdialer and Snapsync and have tried to deal with their support
people.
A troupe of true morons, IMO !
I had my original CD and serial number page but their system wouldn't accept
the serial number. They wouldn't/couldn't fix the problem. I then sent
them photos of the CD and serial number page they replied they wanted a
photo of the sales receipt !
I had to go to someone in management to pry this person's head out of the
darkness. A waste of a lot of time and energy
I believe other's recommend Data Pilot which will be where I look in the
future for software.

I just downloaded FutureDial software from http://www.sanyo.com
That way I was assured of getting the most recent version of the
software when I purchased it, and it performed perfectly.
