Question about Sanyo Multimedia software

I have the Sanyo Multimedia software. It says for the 5150 (which is
what I have) I thought I had heard that it will work with other phones.

My wife is going to get either a Sanyo 6200 or 6400 NW off of ebay.
If I get a compatible cable for this phone can I hook it up, and will it
work with this Sanyo multimedia software?

Main purpose is she wants me to upload some custom LOTR ringtones I
have, to her phone.

Do I need an update? New drivers? Where to go to get them?

Ok this can get complicated or really easy.

first no. to use the SANYO multimedia software you need the SANYO serial
cable.

YES you can get a compatible cable. Future Dial at radio shack I think $20
plus the multimedia software ($30 I think online purchase)

beyond that. don't get the 6200 get the 6400 it has 3g.

once you have 3g you can get an account at www.3gupload.com its free but
MUCH easier to use if you donate one time (one time donation nothing ever
again after that I do not run the site)

now you can download images and ringtones and you can also upload your own
ringtones and images to be downloaded to the phone from your own "locker"

this is VERY VERY nice and handy.

ALSO using the cable you are limited to I believe 6 ringers. the space
allocated for serial transfer is NOT the same as the space allocated for
DOWNLOADS (such as from 3gupload.com or from sprint etc..)

for that space you can have AS MANY RINGERS AS YOU WANT the only limit is
space on the phone.

you can fill that space with 10 ringers or 100 ringers. your KB space is the
only real limit.

you can also upload WAVE ringers IE actual voices etc..

its very very cool. you need the 6400 to do this though as the 6200 does not
have 3g otherwise its the same phone.

you do not even need a cable with this second route. you just point your
6400's phone browser to your 3g Locker and download to your heart's content.
