I'm just curious to here from a few other people on thier experience
with the T608. I have two small issues with the phone but in my
opinion they are very minor. Those issues are that the screen can be
difficult to see in high light situations and sometimes it randomly
reboots when I disconnect a call. I am able to syncronize contacts and
such with ease as well as the occasional laptop connection (BT) to get
online and it works flawlessly with my Jabra BT200 headset. I have
found a few situations where the BT connection is less than perfect
but I'm not sure it's the BT connection and not the cellular
connection itself. Overall I'm happier with it than I have been with
any phone I've had to date. I hope that they continue to provide a BT
set in the future or I'll be forced to move to another carrier. I'm
not thrilled with the delays in releasing the phone but I'm sure
there's more behind that than we're going to be told.

Re: T608 experiences...
I just receive my t608 a day or so ago...
I like the form factor, color, screen, internal antenna, speaker phone, and
menu system, but I'm having lockups whenever I try to end a BT session. I
have to pull the battery to reboot. Also, my wife was complaining that I
sound far away on this phone vs. my A500. In addition she noticed lots of
static on the line (she was on a landline). I'm not sure if it is the phone
or what, but it is a bit disappointing.
This is all I can comment on so far. If they don't release an upgraded
firmware, then I will consider this phone to be junk. I'm also disappointed
that SMS isn't supported.
Cheers

There apparently is no othe r bluetooth phone available for Sprint PCS
to sell as they currently run out of T608's.
The T620 due out soon (a GSM phone) is supposed to have a much improved
screen.

Battery Life between charges is greatly extended if Blue Tooth is turned
off. i.e. some folks only use Blue Tooth in their Car, or with their
Home computer, and might be better served manually turning Blue Tooth on
only when they actually need it.
If one wants Sprint PCS service and Blue Tooth, currently S/E T608 is
your only choice, and soon it will be sold out.

Re: T608 experiences...
Unfortunately, GSM has very poor coverage in the US (at least where I need
it), so GSM is not an option for me. Thanks anyway.

What BT devices are you using? I've had a few reboots (very few) but
no lockups as you describe. I would almost assume that it's an issue
with the phone but my experience in the IT field has seen network
protocol issues appear to be hardware problems. I haven't had much
experience with BT but one manufacturer's 802.11g access points will
hang EVERY TIME an 802.11b made by another manufacturer disconnects a
session. Took me a week (and several replacement access points) to
track the problem down.

There are settings in the phone and on most BT headsets that may help
with this.

I would like to see an upgraded firmware as there are obviously a few
issues with reboots and hanging whether it be the phone's doing or a
BT conflict. Either way, I'd like to think that Sony Ericson and
Sprint would address the issue.
Maybe I'm missing the boat on this one, but why is SMS so high on
evryone's list? I've seen messages that basically state the the author
won't buy a phone that doesn't have it.

Re: T608 experiences...
SMS isn't that important to me, but this phone was just released and SMS is
right around the corner. Why not offer it?
I would like to add that the reception seems to be much better with this
phone than my A500 and my wife's 4900. This better reception is with an
older PRL too (10019).
Cheers
