Roaming when set to Sprint only

I've got a Sanyo 4900, when I'm connected to vision and go through a
week signal area, the phone will go into Digital roam mode even though
it's set for Sprint only, this only seems to happen when I'm connected
to vision, if Im talking it simply drops the call... imagine that.
Anyone else notice this?

I've had this happen with also , and with a 4900, in an area which has
1900 mh service. There was discussion on this group in either sept or
oct I believe--do a search.

Hmmm, somehow missed the OP's message. In any event, on that prior thread
mentioned above, there was a split camp as to whether setting the phone to
SPCS would limit calls only SPCS's system. For yours truly, back before
Horizon was an SPCS affiliate, I was roaming on 1900 in Virginia and my
phone was set for SPCS only. Glad I could, as SPCS was not built out much
back then.
