My sprint bills usally run about 150 a month. Well this past jan 04 it was way
over at 596. This prompted me to call sprint pcs. When i talked to the rep she
informed me that I did have it but it had to go to billing. So i called back to
make sure this was in process that same day. I talked to diane and she informed
me no i didn't have the free nights and weekends which to me is the cause of
the overage. So she put it on my account, but i was still concerned about the
big bill. I went to tell her about a previous month back in 2003 where a rep
credit my account for charges that I had starting after the 9pm nights hr. So
he credit back me 26.00 off my bill. This lead me to beleive that i had free
nights and weekends as well as the rep that helped me. SO then diane went to
her supervisor and all he could do for me is credit 200.00 off my bill. This to
me was not acceptable because I was under the impression i had free ngihts and
weekends. So i called back tonight and no one was willing to help all the
supervisors would tell me this is all were going to do. I am very upset that I
was under the impresion i had this on my plan and then to have a refund and
then to come to find no its not on my plan. I feel that this is a big injustice
to how spring is dealing with me as a customer to just offer 200. To me this
seems like a cover up and no one is willing to help me get to what is justice
for me and my account.
Desired Settlement: Replacement
Settlement Explanation:
I would like for sprint pcs to credit my bill to which the free nights and
weekends be put on the account for that month to which is the cause of it being
so high. I feel that this will take care of ALL of the overage chargers.
Whatever the remaining assetment will be my which be somewhat close to 150 or
so.

Write to your State's Attorney General with a certified copy to Sprint's

Re: Need help with Sprint PCS billing mess up
You will need to call them and ask them for arbitration, to work this out if
they won't do anything else.
With any of the carriers nowadays, after some change is made to my plan, I
call in a couple of different time on the same day, to verify that the
change was done correctly or at all. 20/20 hindsight I know but, something
that nowadays just has to be done.
Also, when SprintPCS make changes to your plan, the change will not take
place until the start of your next billing cycle.
I would ask for arbitration though, if you cannot get any further.

Did? What is did have what? N & W minutes on your account. What do your
prior bills show, when listing out your account?

That could have been a courtesy credit applied. Did you ask the rep to add N
& W minutes onto your accout then?

Again, impressions. Just what did your written monthly bills and online
account say?

A cover up? Is it SPCS's fault, if you didn't make sure the N & W option was
on your account?

It's nice that SPCS came back to apply the second credit, but I just have to
ask ... after the first credit, why didn't you check your account, via your
monthly bill, to make sure you the N & W option on your account?

Almost every plan sold has N&W included as a standard feature. I also would
have expected(assumed) my (new?) plan to include N&W, and I can see where he
also did, especially at $150/mo. If he had recently called to investigate
a seeming overcharge related to N&W, then we can assume that at lease he
thought he had it included. The CSR should also have added it at that time,
or at least questioned him about it(or the lack of it), rather than just
award a courtesy discount and pass the problem on to the next billing cycle.

As I mentioned previously, it was probably a courtesy credit. The OP did not
mention whether the rep offered to add it to his plan, and the rep can not
alter a plan unless the customer says to.

And yet we read here time and time again about contract dates moving,
without the user's permission. Wonder how that happens, if the customer
doesn't ask to have it done?

You make is sound like there were a lot of different posters here complained
about that. I don't remember that many, possibly 4 or 5, and each poster had
commented where they had made changes to their coverage. Those changes in
the computer could have triggered a new contract, where the rep might have
failed to inform the customer.
Mind you, I'm not trying to make excuses for SPCS CS, but there could be
more involved that what was discussed by the original poster's complaints.

Re: Need help with Sprint PCS billing mess up
With all due respect, Bob. At what point does the company that is
selling the product and making the profit have some resposibility? I
guess I should call every night just to make sure my Sprint phone plan
is what it should be. Now I do like Sprint and have not had any
problems with them for over a year. They have always corrected
problems and handled my concerns with utmost courtesy. But I have had
a problem with another company and believe they promise things and
never follow through due to lack of intelligent CS reps. I should not
have to check up and do their jobs for them. That is the problem
today. We have to do everybody's jobs for them with no pay.
I say write your state's AT and be persistent. Ask for the phone
tape, etc. Don't give up.

Re: Need help with Sprint PCS billing mess up
Sprint isn't what i would even call a company. They are more like
thieves. They overbill on purpose, only for customers to fight it out
so their credit doesn't get ruined. Sign a Sprint contract and its
like having some punk pick pocket you for five or six grand.

How the hell would you know? Dude, did you even receive a *bill* from them
at all? By YOUR OWN ADMISSION you cancelled after two days.
