Those are kinds of processors. I believe the the G1000=20
uses a MIPS processor, but I'll try to look it up.

Not enough experience to know for sure. This one grabbed=20
my attention, though:
http://tinyurl.com/26fe7
"Watch DVD's on your Pocket PC in full screen with stereo=20
sound. This software squeezes a feature film onto a 128 Mb=20
memory card."
And it gets a fairly high rating at Handango, so it would=20
appear to do what it claims.

That's because our text messaging systems don't support the=20
G1000. Sorry. Personally, I consider that a shortcoming=20
of the G1000. It's up to you to decide how big or small=20
that is.

I'll have to get back to you on this. I've done it maybe=20
once since the phone was released.

No, you cannot upgrade the PocketPC operating system.

The device's browser includes a link to the Handango=20
software store. While answering some questions for a=20
customer, I saw quite a few ringers there. A site I use a=20
lot,
http://www.3gupload.com, says it supports ringers (and=20
I think that's all) for the G1000. I'm sure they're not=20
alone.
3GUpload wants you to donate, and I think it's worth the=20
donation, but it's not required. Handango will charge you=20
per ringer (I think they offer packs of ringers, too).
Hope that helps.
