Sorry for yet another post on this subject, but I've been googling for a
couple of hours trying to figure out the best solution. I figured it was
time to just post my own damn question.

I had an old Casio E-125 PDA, and I was able to connect it to my Samsung
SCH-8500 with a cable and dial up my ISP.

Unfortunately, the only connection speed was 14.4. So it was kind of neat,
    but useless.

I now have an iPaq 2215. I want to try to get my PDA on the internet again,
but I'm not sure what's the best route to take. Options include:

    - Airocard sold by SprintPCS is too expensive. Close to $200 for the card,
plus an additional monthly usage charge.

    - I can buy a new cable to connect my Ipaq to my Samsung phone and use my
plan's minutes, but I'm afraid the speed will still be 14.4. This would be
    inexpensive but useless.

    - I could buy a new phone that is bluetooth enabled, which I think would
eliminate the need for a physical cable. However, I'm afraid the speed will
still be 14.4. So this would be expensive and useless.

Any other ideas? Has anyone found a good internet solution using Sprint's
    calling plans and an ipaq?

    Thanks

    You're confusing G2 (pre-Vision) data speed with G3 (post-Vision) data
speed. The former is indeed 14.4 kbps. The latter is more like 120 kbps.
A non-Vision phone like the Samsung SCH-8500 is limited to the
    slower speed.

    Try www.gomadic.com or www.thesupplynet.com

Currently G3 standard mobile phones has the highest bandwidth.
