I'm unable to dial many toll free numbers (including AAA & IBM) from my
sprintpcs phone from the lexington, KY area.

I get an error message stating i can't call those numbers from my calling
area, although landlines and other more able wireless services work just
    fine from my area.

I've called this issue into sprint 5 time over the past 3 weeks and sprint
still hasn't fixed my problem. It's becoming a huge issue as I can't place
business calls. This issue seems limited to Lexington, ky as I can call
those numbers from other cities (atlanta, ga).

Any suggestions on what to do now short of switching carriers? the inempt
employees at sprintpcs tech support are useless! O/Sirus can you help? I
    have a business account btw.

    Thanks!

Are you dialing the number with a 1 in front of it or just by itself?
    IE: 1-800-555-1212 vs. 800-555-1212

Sometimes, leaving the 1 off of it helps for locally assigned Toll-free
    numbers.
Once in a while the Toll/IXC switch gets a wrong routing table.
Or if you are not dialing them with a 1 in front of them, try that.

If that doesn't work, post back.

Agreed, for domestic calls, you do not need to dial a 1 first (I
haven't tried it yet with international calls).

IN fact, if your phonebook entries are set up with a 1
(1-XXX-XXX-XXXX) then there is a good chance that it will not reconize
it as the entry when they call you (so it won't show their name).

I'm leaving the 1 off..never used the 1 in front of the number

None of my SPCS phones have ever failed to match names
where I have stored the numbers with a leading "1".

My Verizon phones have always succeeded the same way, too.

That leading "1" happens to be the North American "Country Code".
