I have a Sanyo VM4500 activated in December. If I don't have vision does it
still cost me 10 cents a message or is there a discount on that as well?

Don't have a Vision pack? You pay a dime per message, unless you opt=20
for one of the SMS packs.
$5/month for 100 messages sent *or* received (unless received from=20
other SPCS users), and then a dime per message after that.
Or $10/month for unlimited messaging.

But has SMS been officially launched? There is zero text or promotion of
it on the Sprint web site, other than the pricing for it 4 levels down.
When one looks at Messaging information on the Sprint PCS website,
you'd think SMS doesn't exist.
It's not listed at:
https://manage1.sprintpcs.com/Manage...action=doMyPla
nSpecialOffers
or at
http://www.sprintpcs.com/common/popu...Messaging.html

You'd be far more interesting if you even attempted honesty, Phil. =20
SMS is listed *and* priced right on the plans page.

It is absent where Sprint PCS discusses messaging in the URLs I listed
and you, the embarressment of Sprint PCS omitted.
It's not listed at:
https://manage1.sprintpcs.com/Manage...action=doMyPla
nSpecialOffers
or at
http://www.sprintpcs.com/common/popu...Messaging.html
So answer the question, preferrably by providing a URL to a press
release. Has SMS been officially launched ? ? ?

Rob, arguing with Phillipe on this point is hopeless. He's the
equivalent of an 4-year old kid who will close his eyes and scream when
you present the evidence refuting his argument right to his face.

Insulting a poster only make the Sprint PCS apologists look bad,
especially when they can't produce a URL telling about SMS as a launched
service.

Why does Sprint Charge 10 cents to send *or* receive a message when
Virgin Mobile only charges 10 cents to send a message (receiving a
message is free)?
If Virgin can make a profit charging for sending only and leasing the
network from Sprint, I would think Sprint could charge the same and
make a larger profit, because they *own* the network.
I'm a very low minutes user and Virgin Mobile is looking better and
better all the time. My kids have had real good luck with Virgin. I
just wish they had analog mode for emergencies.

Are you certain Virgin *is* making a profit on them? Besdes, prepaid=20
has a higher per-minute profit margin anyway.
