Why doesn't Sprint allow its users to block incoming numbers? Is this
a hardware issue or could Spint easily allow this feature if they
    wanted to do so?

Just turn off auto answer, and don't answer any call you don't want to.

When my number was accidentally being redialed ad infinitum by
a fax machine, I made an entry for it in my phone book, then set
    that entry's ringer to "NONE".

Have not tried Buzz Off, but their website indicates that it does not
work with SprintPCS? Have you tried it?

I have been using Call Filter available at
    http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fu...&prodID=53606.
Works well enough, although it does mess with the Treo's picture caller
ID. One plus is that it can be set to forward calls when in the charger,
and un-forward them when is is removed. If Buzz Off does in fact work,
its half the price of Call Filter.
