Heard Sprint will be getting the PPC 5050. Does anyone have any
    knowledge of this phone?

Looks like it's a dual band, dual mode CDMA phone from the fcc docs. No 800
    analog service

One more thought to add is that I doubt SPCS is going to add this phone. It
comes with EV-DO, which SPCS won't utilize as they are frog jumping over
EV-DO to EV-DV. Looks like it might be a good fit for Verizon though.

It's been cancelled. I only have rumors for why. Bugs,=20
unreliability on our systems, stuff like that.

The way all the folks who were so anxious for the T608 now complain
about its bugginess (see http://www.sprintpcsinfo.com) I hope SprintPCS
    sticks to its guns.

    Hey Guys,
I am using one here, have had not worries with the unit. EV-DO has been
disabled on the unit, as we only use 1X. No problems here
