SprintPCS is great about that. Its on their web site in near real time
and avilable via *4 from your phone, although it counts against your
minutes (so folks tend to check during their unlimited nights and
weekends).

Some phones have a minute counter, but the actual online time will usually
be less than the billed minutes since sprint rounds up to the next whole
minute. If you started your phone timer on the last day or so of your
billing cycle and know the remaining minutes from *4, then you would be able
go get pretty close to using up all your minutes, but you never know how
accurate the *4 totalizer is, unless you haven't made any calls in the last
day or so.

T-Mobile you can key #MIN# <send> and your present use, anytime,
nights & weekend and/or mobile-to-mobile minutes displayed on your
handset. For prepaid you can key #999# and it will show you your
remaining credit. Or you can dial 611 and when it asks for the last
four of your SSN press # instead and it will quote your recent minute
useage.

Two years ago *4 at Sprint might have been a day behind. These days it
is just about real time in the totals it presents.

Since I'm always ready to point out your inaccuracies, I think it's=20
only fair to acknowledge those points where you point out a strength=20
of our service.
Sorry for the belated nature of it.

On the otherhand, years later its still all screwed up on the web site
if you have shared minutes, or you have changed your plan that month.
Apparently a low priority getting that fixed.
