To follow up on this, the steps are pretty simple (for Windows XP):
1. Download the USB driver for your phone from http://www.futuredial.com/support/us...rs/Drivers.htm
2. Install the driver on your PC. It creates a "USB Modem" entry in your Network Connections.
3. Use the "Create a new connection" wizard to create a new dialup connection which will use the USB Modem. The number to dial is
#777, leave the username and password blank.
You're done!

You seem to be confused on the different software FutureDial offers.
SnapSync doesn't have anything to do with dialing out, it has to do with
syncing your phone book or Outlook contacts on your computer with your
phone's phone book.
SnapDialer deals with dialing out to Vision, which isn't needed, when
setting up a new dial up on your computer as described by John.
SnapMedia is used to transfer graphics and dialtones. All three different
software uses ...

Actually no. Your inference in this thread was that one could use it to dial
out, which is not what SnapSync does ... SnapSync was the only product of
the 3 that RS sells that came with the cable, and it was the most expensive
product as well.

It has what you're looking for. I use it with my 8100 as well.

then you have to pay for Quicktime Pro. Either way it's a small investment.
I would recommend this app here: http://www.myphonefiles.com/software, (it
reads CDs, MP3 & Wavs, records voice over mic, converts and sends to
phone), but then again I am already biased
