Actually, there aren't even 3 million Vision subscribers. I think=20
it's growing very rapidly, but that hardly supports your claim,=20
unless you think only one out of every six people to buy a Vision=20
phone have Vision. I strongly doubt that's true.

You are not bothering, stopping even or even slowing him down to consider in
anyway for him change his way and lies.
BUT you are ANOYYING others on this groups that have him blocked. And if
he's that wrong, so what, people will figure it out before long, unless all
Sprint users a really dumb.

I won't filter him. That's as irresponsible, I believe, as feeding

his dishonesty go unchallenged, but I'm done feeding into his
pathetic attempts at The Word According to Phill.

not force in the technical sense.
it is force in the realistic sense.
most people can not afford a $400 phone
if it looks like a duck.....

That's not forcing, that's voluntary. A deal made.

because he is right
before rebate cost nothing extra
now it does $270 to be exact
that is a $270 price increase. period. simple as that. no argument is
possible.

Re: Major SprintPCS price Increase !!
this is not a vision rebate. this is a normal rebate that has been CHANGED
into a vision rebate resulting in an effective even if not literal price
increase. period.
second where I work I do not think we have ANY non vision phones except
maybe the nokia and its the most butt ugly crap phone I have seen in some
time :-)

Re: Major SprintPCS price Increase !!
I disagree. when the alternatives are virtually non existant or highly
unpalatable then its the same thing as being non voluntary for all intents
and purposes or any meaningful discussion.
Just because you "technically" have a choice does not negate that it is
effectively "forced" on you.
Chris Taylor
http://www.zodiacreview.com/
I disagree that a voluntary program beyond the price plan to which
you subscribe can constitute a description of the price. Hence, no
price increase.

That is absolutely true.
However, I think Sprint changed its mind on this... as the new Consumer
Handset Upgrade rebate forms I am seeing now has no mention of signing
up for Vision and/or keeping it on the account for 18 months like the
older forms did.

It'd be nice to see Rob J Vargas tell us this, or is it a Sprint secret
he's out of the loop on?

Nope. He was totally wrong and so are you. Someone who takes advantage of a
rebate does not have subscribe to Vision for 18 months. If they do get a
Vision capable phone, yes ... it does need to be on their new plan, however,
they can cancel the Vision option anytime within the first two free trial
period months, to where it doesn't cost them one red cent.

I don't think its a secret... a couple others in this group have
mentioned that it was possible Sprint changed its mind in midstream. I
just had not seen any rebate forms that did not have the Vision
requirement until yesterday. Those forms were valid until June I
believe.

Re: Major SprintPCS price Increase !!
I pressed send too quick. The new forms that do not have the Vision
requirement expire sometime in June. The ones that did state Vision was
a requirement for 18 months expired in May.

On the web it also requires a $35 or greater plan. Add-ons don't count
toward the $35 except for Vision. Therefore if its Vision that makes
your plan greater than $35, and it would be less than $35 without
Vision, than YES you do need to keep Vision for 18 months in that
specific case.

Yes that is true. But the omission of the Vision requirement does save
the users who are on a plan greater than $35 from having to keep Vision
on the account for 18 months. Prior, *any* customer would have had to
keep Vision on their plan for a year and a half... but now, only the
ones who are on the lowest plan would have to. It could still be
considered a price increase for some, but its not nearly as "sweeping"
as it was according to the older rebate forms.

Re: Major SprintPCS price Increase !!
sorry man your wrong and your post was VERY confusing. there are essentially
NO non vision selections (all but ONE of the sprint phones at my store are
vision)
when the choices get to that point IT IS a forced choice even if you
"technically" have a choice.
its a red herring choice for most so its no real choice at all.
