The Industry is working on making it possible for picture mail from any
carriers phone to be sent to the phone of any other carriers phone.

Currently for instance a SprintPCS picture phone can only send pictures
to another SprintPCS phone, and carriers see it as a source for
additional revenue if no such limitations exist.

Great, the big BM has simply regurgitated several news stories. You add
nothing. If that is your only purpose here, then the service is not
needed and you can finally consider your quest done and leave.

That's good news. Remember the old days when sms text messages could
only be sent to the same providers? Maybe picture mail can go the same
was as text messages and be able to send to any provider.

There are bandwidth issues, especially for video clips. They will have
to work out fees between providers in the same way that they tackle
roaming. I suspect we will find that these higher bandwidth
interprovider services will come with a fee.

That's what they're working for. It's in every bodies interest.
