The "best" one is the one that has the features you want, the
one that feels most comfortable in your hand, etc.

    It's called "personal preference."

PS - While it's just a matter of semantics, starting a question
in the subject line, and finishing it in the body of a post, isn't
    always appreciated.

The number one seller is often the lowest price phone, which pretty much
precludes it from being the best.

    Tell us:

    + Where are you ?
+ What do you want your phone to include?
    - Speakerphone
    - Camera
    - Flip phone
    - Downloadable ringtones
    - Internet connectivity
+ Do you have a price limitation? At $300 you can get some much nicer
phones than you can at $100.

I've read that this handset has issues with text messages. Otherwise
looks strong to me. _LOVE_ the form factor on the i-500. I text often,
so I chose the Treo 600. For the heavy data user, I'd be hard pressed to
find something better. The I-550 is my dream phone.

I recall reading elsewhere that the camera in the Treo 600 is not as bad
as some reviews say, because the default is set for lowest resolution,
and if you change that, the camera is comparable to other cell phone
    cameras.

Having owned each, I'd put it a little above the Nokia PM 6225 but below
the Sanyo PM 8200 and the VGA1000.
The Treo 600 camera in low light has this odd habit of getting lighter
and lighter the longer the camera is active before a photo is shot.
Evenutally, you have a halo of blue-white speckles around the edge of
the image. Turning the camera off and then on again cleared this up, and
it was only really noticable if you took more than ten seconds framing
    your shot.
