It is the worst experience in my life.

I signed up in July of 2004 and canceled it 2 days later !

When you sign up, you're speaking with friendly SBC, and you ask them
if when you call customer service, will I be working with SBC or Dish?
They respond SBC customer service is the contact.
....they don't tell you the DVR needs to be connected to a phone line,
they sent SEVEN installers to my home because the first pair didn't
know what the hell they were doing. Three hours later, they finally
have the cabling and dish mounted.
When they asked for the phone jack and found out they'd have to
stretch a 40 ft cable to reach the nearest, they advise "You can just
get programming updates through the dish signal, no phone line is
    necessary... thank you very much"
Then I notice I'm missing an expensive wristwatch that was on the
coffee table but wait to make accusations, thinking it's just been
    misplaced (more on this later)

When I try to order a pay per view movie, I find out I have to call
and pay a $1 surcharge for telephone ordering, this is acceptable but
then the rep tells me that the DVR has to be connected to a phone line
for her to complete the purchase !!!! (I'm still looking for my
    wristwatch)

When I call monday to figure out how to get a phone line installed,
Dish transfers me back and forth to SBC because no one knows how to
    resolve the phone line issue.

THEN ! These idiots try to sell me an adapter for $50 that can use my
power line as a phone line, I advise them they will provide this at no
charge since they never advised me of the phone line, and because SBC
DOESN'T TIE YOU TO A CONTRACT, YOU CAN CANCEL IT ANYTIME AND GET TO
KEEP THE DISH AND MOUNT ON THE HOUSE AND THE CABLING !!! I JUST HAVE
    TO SEND BACK THE DVR.

Remember, there were 7 installers here for 3 hours, these guys make at
least $10 an hour, and SBC has just invested at least ~$200 in
installing all of this and I advise them they are about to lose this
business because they don't want to throw in a $50 adapter.

Finally I reach SBC Executive Services Group, and they advise me I
have to speak to Dish, well Dish transfers me back to SBC, this went
on for over an hour until I called DIRECTV.

Now, the glorious part is since DirecTV didn't have to cable the house
or even mount a dish, they were more than happy to provide the phone
line adapter at no charge since their installation only took 10
minutes and all they needed to bring was a pair of pliers to complete
    their install.

The watch, was found in the insulation of the basement, the same part
of the basement the Dish installers were cabling in and was only found
because I heard the alarm. I suspect one of the Dish installers was
planning on stealing my watch but got cold feet and ditched it there
    !!!

It still doesn't end, SBC is now sending me an empty carton every week
with a prepaid UPS shipping label insisting I return their DVR -but
that was returned to them already when I paid for the shipping to
Indiana. I've provided Dish and SBC Exeuctive Services the tracking
number on numerous occasions, but they still keep sending me prepaid
    labels.

Now, I take sand from my backyard and fill up their boxes, their boxes
are quite sturdy and you can get about 80 lbs of sand into the box and
I call UPS to pick up the pakckages. Dish pays for the shipping, and
    UPS charges by weight....

I've canceled SBC Dish, my Cingular service and also their long
distance and DSL and getting ready to cancel local phone service.

    SBC is the worst

You live a sheltered life ... So, tell us again what this has to do with
    Sprint PCS?
