    I've used sprint, at&t and nextel in the last 5 years. AT&T had the
    worst coverage, Nextel had the worst cust service and Sprint is "OK"
    across the board. I'd switch to Verizon but they are way overpriced.

    True, but which nationwide carriers have their own (not roaming), (not
    free roaming), coverage through that stretch and how much more?

    PS: There are parts of NM, AZ, and CA that do not have any service at
    all.
