Want to beam phone numbers to/from my TE Palm Pilot and cellphone using the
IR beaming feature of the Palm.

Is there a phone out there that will allow this?

(besides the integrated Palm/Phone like Treo etc.)

I have older Motorola and a Samsung cellphones, but dont see that
either has an IR feature. Do any of the newer ones?

Otherwise, what is the best way to transfer phone #'s to/from
    cellphones?

See More: Is there a phone that will accept IR beaming of phone numbers?

    My cheapy Nokia 3361 does.

Virtually any phone with IR should allow this. Shop around.

The Nokia 6225 has an IR feature. I do not know if it can be used to
    send/receive contact info.

Via a Serial or USB cable. You can check and see whether susteen.com or
futuredial.com support your particular phone models with cables and
    software.

    Nokia 6225

The Nokia 6225 does have the IR Sychronization feature and you can transfer business cards between the phones, but I don't know if it works with Palm Pilots. Nevertheless, you could hop onto Nokia's website or Nokiahowto.com website and find out.

Traditionally only the GSM phones have had IR ports. That might be
changing, but any of the companies adding local communications are more
likely to be adding Bluetooth than IR.

My Nokia 6225 has an IR port and can exchange contact information with other
phones that have an IR port, and Palm Pilots too. My old Nokia 6360 (a TDMA
    phone) did as well.

Sony Ericsson has a model with an IR port, and my son owns one. I never
tried beaming phone numbers, but I've beamed photos to him from my Palm.

My Sony Ericsson T610 does phone numbers just fine. It also has an
appointment manager and can receive those, but it doesn't seem to
    recognize repeated events.
