I'm hoping that someone can help me, because I'm utterly stumped!
When I first got this phone, I could plug it in and talk on it at the
same time. You know, I'd get that little beep telling me that the
battery was low so I'd plug it in and continue my conversation like
normal for hours afterwards. However, lately, when I plug it in while
talking, the battery dies anyway, even when it's plugged into the
wall. I'll be talking and the thing just shuts off like it was never
plugged in. It's just so weird, because the red battery charger light
is on, and the little battery indicator up at the top is moving like
it would while it's charging.
Now, when the phone is off, it charges up just fine. I don't get it.
Anyone have any ideas on how I could troubleshoot this from home?

You're draining power out of the battery when you're talking. That's true of
any phone. Question is, when the charger is charging the phone, is it replacing
the power quickly enough?

The label on the Samsung charger says it's rated at 5v at 1.0A - that's
5 watts, which ought to be plenty to run a max-200mw transmitter and
charge the battery at the same time. Is it possible that the charger
has become defective? Still strong enough to charge the idle or off
phone (overnight?)?
The charger comes with the same one-year warranty as the phone, if you
could convince a Sprint store to replace it, or loan you a spare to try.
If you need ot buy another, the SPCS store wants $39.95 for their
Sprint-branded travel charger (same 5v at 1.0A), but www.samsungusa.com
sells theirs for $19.99 or less in black or silver (out of stock).
