I've been trying to figure out a way to view my outlook calendar on my
8100. Obviously there's no way to directly send it to the phone, so
I've been trying to think of web-based or J2ME solutions.
I've been using a Samsung i500 lately, which I liked quite a bit, but
frankly there are few applications available as J2ME that I just can't
get on the Palm platform (MobiTV for one). On the other hand, the two
things I seem to be unable to live without on the Java platform are a
decent sync to my outlook contacts & calendar, and an RSS reader. I
think I've found an RSS solution, but the PIM functionality still has
me scratching my head.
I'd be grateful if anyone can tell me of hacks they've bumped into or
currently use. Thanks.

This is *not* a direct solution to your problem, nor is it=20
free. However, Sprint's Business Connection Personal=20
Edition (BCPE) will allow you to "remote view" your MS=20
Outlook calendar (among other things) if you run the BCPE=20
installable on your PC and access it via the Vision web=20
browser.
Obviously that doesn't synch actually into the phone's=20
memory. But it might provide a usable workaround.
It's free for the first two months, $5/month after that=20
(unless you sign up for the Vision Professional package,=20
which swaps BCPE in place of PictureMail). If you opt to=20
go the route of changing the Vision package, though, read=20
up on it carefully. I'm 90% sure SPCS has been tweaking=20
those packages a bit. But, at the same time, changing the=20
Vision package does not affect your contract with Sprint.

Perhaps you can do it through an intermediary.
I don't know how much of yahoo.com is visible on a Vision phone,
but I regularly keep my Outlook calendar synched with my free online one:
