I think the reasons for the Iraq War, which actually wasn't intended to be a
war in the first place just a police action, are as follows:
To rid Iraq and dictator Saddam Hussein of Weapons of Mass Destruction which
George Tenet confirmed and swore existed.
It is part a "Holy Crusade Against an Evil Axis" as stated later on by
President George W. Bush.
It is part of the War On Terror which began publicly after Iraq's Osama Bin
Laden attacked the United States. But Bin Laden isn't from Iraq and probably
has never been there even to visit.
It is to liberate the people of Iraq from their own President, Saddam
Hussein and their cousins, brothers, uncles, aunts, sisters, husbands and
wives in the insurgency.
It is to promote Democracy in the Middle East establishing Iraq as the first
major Democracy in the region aside from Isreal.
It is being fought to protect the US military which is in Iraq from being
butchered by insurgents in Iraq and for vengence for those Americans already
killed in Iraq.
Did I forget any others? Anybody in Washington and the Christian Right Wing
GOP Republican Guards have any new ones lately?

The reason for the Iraq war is entirely because Congress gave
the President the unlawful power to declare war with only
CIA intelligence sources as the evidence a state of war exists.
Since the Iraq war rapdily regressed into a Bill Clinton Samalian
Police Action in a matter of weeks after the "shock and awe"
it doesn't really matter what it started as.

Re: The Ever Changing Reasons For Iraq War
look up the euro dollar. its the thing thats gonna kill america. all the
"madmen"dictators are going to switch to it for the currency to buy oil.
the U.S. dollar is currently the only currency in the world accepted for oil
purchases. its what keepsd your dollar worth something. look up the Iran Oil
Bourse. learn something. like the fact that if we dont attack these
countries and install friendly governments that will keep the dollar as the
standard, you will need a wheelbarrel full of dollars to buy a loaf of
bread. like prewar germany. do the research find the info...then ***** if
you still want to . just google "petrodollar". thats what its called now.
then if you really want to *****, look up the federal reserve. thats where
over 50% of your tax dollars go. do your homework and stop throwing opions
without knowledge. the day we went into iraq was the day saddam went to the
euro. thats why he was a crazy dictator no other reason
