No not at all. If I want to remove any of my options to my plan, PCS2PCS,
F&CA or Vision, I can do it without any additional commitment. As for adding
any additional options, the only one I'm aware, to where I would have to
extend my contract would be the 7:00 PM N & W option.

No, I'm not saying that at all. I had to commit to a 2 year contract, but I
don't mind as I have had great coverage no matter where I go.

That's ok. You can cancel that option before the free 2 month option is
over.

That's the issue to bring up to SPCS CS. Tell that you are happy with the
coverage, but that you've been checking out other wireless providers. Give
the rep the details and ask whether they can match the offers. You will have
to commit to a 2 year contract, but if coverage and service has been OK,
that should be no problem. When you call up SPCS, tell Claire ... "Cancel
Service". It should bring you to someone who has some authorization to wheel
and deal. By the way, on the third phone, as that would be adding a new line
to the account, that phone should qualify for an instant $150 credit off a
new phone.

Then you've got it set for the wrong time zone, as you are 3 hours off.

Actually, you don't. You've got it set for Mountain Time Zone, per the below
header from your post. You are off by 4 hours ... Check and see if your
computer's clock is set to go with DST as well.

Re: Retention incentive - supposedly!!
I had a plan 5/6 years ago(no contract) for $30 300 mins., 1 for me and
1 for my wife. Then 1 year ago, after reading this newsgroup I called
and said that we have been a good customer for 4 years(no contract) and
could we please have Free Nights and Weekends. We had to sign a 1 year
contract ( I would get free pcs to pcs if we sign 2years contract)but we
get free nights and weekends starting at 8pm, lost our free first
incoming minute and the customer rep. gave us a 5% dicount which I was
not even aware of at that time.
So our dilemma currently is that our son who is now a teenager needs a
cellphone. I do not want to lose the F Nt&Wkend starting at 8pm nor the
great discount . Like one of the previous post, we will run the
phones down to the ground to keep such a cheap plan (our phones are
almost antiques from 6 years ago). I sent an email to customer service
but got no reply. Think I can ask for the plan that Bob Smith has? We
need 3 phones.

Re: Retention incentive - supposedly!!
Thanks Bob. I am sure that whenever you want to add or remove something
from your plan, Sprintpcs almost always bind you to a new contract. You
mean to tell us that when you negotiated and got that lovely plan they
did not make you sign at least a 1 year contract? The plan that you
have includes 3 phones and that is what we need. However, we do not
really need the vision plan.
As for our phones, which btw are Samsung sch 350, they are still going
strong. We had all the accessories plus we each have the extended
batteries. They do last for at least 4 days.
I will try my luck with Sprint and see what happens. If not I will be
forced to change to Verizon since I can get at least 2 free phones and
cost of plans are comparable to Sprint if I do not get any retention
specials from Sprint.

Re: Retention incentive - supposedly!!
Is your ISP on Mountain Standard Time?
That's what's showing in your message headers.

You're not even close! <g>
- Right-click on your system tray clock.
- Select "Adjust Date/Time"
- Make sure your date and time are correct.
- Click on the "Time Zone" tab.
- Select "(GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US and Canada)"
- Tick "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes"
- Hit "OK"

Re: Retention incentive - supposedly!!
Yep, it's correct now. Your PC's time & zone now agree with
the time stamp of your ISP's server.

News readers sort posts by thread, then by 'sent' time stamp.
The 'sent' time is taken from the poster's PC clock. So what
appeared to be CM's last post was actually an earlier post where
he had not yet made the proper correction.
