    Re: sprint outage

During the entire time of the Sprint outage I was on a phone call from my
home phone using Sprint Long Distance from Laguna Niguel CA to Boulder
Colorado without any problems. I checked my cell phone (voice and vision)
several times and everything was fine. Cell phone service never went down
    here is Laguna Niguel California.

A crashed "node" would be isolated and a spare unit switched in
to replace it, in a robust Telecom system.
This "outage" sounds like a weekend "upgrade" that wasn't fully tested
    in the lab.

Re: just got back from Sprint store [Re: sprint outage]

National outages are currently being experienced due to fiber failure. Some
areas can make calls, others cannot receive calls. The reach of this issue
is still being investigated, but currently affects customers in California,
    Wisconsin, Indiana and Oregon.

Sprint had a major outage - voice and data - due to mudslides in Northern
Cali. Not sure whether "voice" means "POTS/LD and wireless" or "just POTS/LD".

    Re: sprint outage

I'm in Orange County, CA (city of Orange) and the network was down for
hours here. No voice, internet, texts and even my DSL service was
terribly slow. It was all finally back on at about 3:30PM PT.

FINE all day. I'm around seattle (Everett). Now, I wasn't constantly
using it, I I used it periodically throughout the day, and never had a

Love it. I have never really looked at a Razor, Thats not why I bought
it, But the form is very slim and nice. The sound (on MINE at least) is
very good, and I like all the features. I've been off contract for close
to 1 & 1/2 years now, so I paid full price because I didn't want to
re-up my contract. I was able to switch to Power vision from the old
vision No problem.Nice solid feel to the phone too.

Cool. I've been thinking about getting a Sprint phone and the Blade looked
like it might fit my needs. I want something small and solid. Thanks for
    the info.

Bad flooding in Reno caused Sprint to re-route voice and data traffic to
Phoenix, so Phoenix had heavy traffic to begin with. Then we ended up with
    the fiber cut...

I really like the look of the phone, however, I am concerned about the
battery life. What do you experience regarding battery life? How much talk
time? Does it really drain the battery to use PowerVision?
